Would you actually message with a view to meeting?

I've just taken a bit of time to look through (50?) profiles who show on my list as I've decided to do some hunting! After discounting the ones who are too young, too old, couples, can't accommodate, shorties, etc I messaged the grand total of 1 guy!!!!

It's a bit frustrating. I should of waited until Thursday to post this really

Most that come up are men so I get even less choice than you!

When I filter out the ones not looking for men, or even men my age I wonder why I bother.

I have a total of 3 after I've filtered people out. And I dont think I would actually message any one of those three

I don't need to look. There aren't many people on fab I would consider messaging, never mind if I limit myself to the "who is near" function.

I find that the longer we're here, the more our interest in searching drops because we've already been in touch with a lot of the people we want to meet (especially locally).But with time also comes regulars and repeat meets, so that's an upside.

After applying filters maybe 1 profile within 30 miles.

But I don't message people so it's irrelevant.

I've done it the other way around letting them find me but I've decided I need to be a bit more proactive! I think I need to throw my net further afield

I only looked local when I first came on here and I seen maybe 15 Women who I liked, I messaged a couple of them but with no reply the others I didn't bother after looking at their previous meets and assuming I wasn't their type,

I just looked again (Single Women 5 mile radius)

Ruling out the same Women and profiles that look a little dodgy maybe about 10 profiles that I would consider messaging,

It has worked for me a grand total of 1 time lol.

Messaged a guy who passed my own filters and had a meet within half an hour.

Was quite good but thats it- once in about 10 months of being on here lol.

Mine doesn't work, which is just as well as I'd be squinting at everyone I noticed grinning at their phones in public places wondering which profile is theirs

I don't meet locals, so for me, the answer is 0%. But me popping up on someone else's 'who is near' once when I was visiting a nearby town ended up leading to a conversation that eventually turned into a fantastic friendship with benefits lasting almost a year... It has its uses

Sadly It's very rare that I see a guy local to me that I find attractive! Also, bloody annoyingly, I can't search by height or body type - which would be darned useful! Hence I put regular pics up so hotties can spot/contact me instead. Far from perfect though! Xx

Apart from the obvious one (!!)....there's never anyone comes up on my Who's Near that I'd be interested in, and would also be wary of meeting anyone too local as the thought of bumping into them in Tesco doesn't overly appeal.
