Why was my thread closed by a mod I posted a genuine serious topic didn't name names or anything and yet it was closed why ??????

It's under scary shit the posts still there but shut and they've taken my status down

But it's ridiculous that a post about genuine bloody safety of ppl on here should be blocked ! Not good x

I feel like safety on here isn't spoken about enough and for them to close it is just crazy.

The safety of its members is obviously not important enough on here.

It is important but there's nothing anyone of us on here can do about it.

Just report it to the police or message the person directly to say it made you uncomfortable and that if he turns up again you'll go to the police. There is no other advice to give other than that.

Maybe turn off your location on fab OP. Remove your visible verifications for the moment. Contact admin as advised. Save the screen shots you have and be prepared to contact the police.

I think we need to be objective and accept that one side of a story is not always an accurate account of events and therefore when it involves an accusation it can cross line of discretion

I'd say he's either hacking your IP address or hacked your account (did you use a verifiable email address to start your account) one used for your home address say?.

Anyhow I only read half way through until you wrote I like having strangers turn up for spit roasting me

Prob because it was potentially a police matter. Or because it was regards 'airing dirty washing' ie; talking about an issue with another member.

Just count yourself lucky you're not on the step too.

I agree with this advice.

Don't worry about reporting to the police if you think it is necessary OP. It is not their place to judge what you do.

It's extremely likely that he will do anything further, probably just pushing his luck so try not to worry.

I would make a report to the police just to be safe though - and also to provide some reassurance and ensure that it's on their radar.

Without trying to sound like I am questioning your post....but you are talking about something that no one knows if it is the truth or not, you could be being vindictive and although you say you didn't name him, you had on your profile.

The best thing to do instead so you don't fall foul of the forum rules for airing dirty washing or name and shame on your profile is to do what Admin ask and report instead.

They can check to see the evidence of what you say and if needed deal with it.
