"i've been getting my head around being able to play obscure musical time signatures ... especially really technical stuff where the time signature changes from measure to measure ... now i know i probably know i sound like i'm talking in code to most folks but is anyone else a fan of listening to or playing math rock? here's an example by the band Hella ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOgq2fPEO4k" I'm a Tool fan so I get what you're on about. Weird rhythms and time signatures really do it for me. I'm trying to do similar stuff with the bass at the moment but I'm going jazz! Check out some Snarky Puppy if you can handle it. Lots of poly-rhythms. They've really improved my playing... https://youtu.be/L_XJ_s5IsQc Neither rock nor jazz, but here's possibly my all time favourite song. Harry Nilsson is great at playing around with timings... https://youtu.be/NjS64HYm32M

"I am more of a deathgrind girl but I wouldn't mind a bit of mathcore. Screamo style vocals and crazy guitar techniques might not be for everyone but Psyopus is my favourite band. " the pig keepers daughter

"Money .. pink Floyd " .... yep, i mentioned that earlier in the thread even though the time signature isn't really a very complicated one .... outcast - hey ya is pretty tricky mind ... especially seeing as how it's by a bunch of rappers who don't usually play instruments
