Chat them up?

Interesting topic of conversation I've been having with a friend here that just had to be raised in the forum....

In the age of internet dating! Does anyone actually still go to the pub and if you see someone you like attempt to "chat them up"? Or is this a dying pastime in the era that we live?? Is the only chatting up done by the younger generation done for a one night stand? And would the ladies feel that they could make the first move rather than wait for the man

If I ever saw anyone I like I'd chat them up. But that's rare.

No. When I want to date I go on Tinder.

It's great for that.

Virtually everyone I know are on Tinder or have been on Tinder.

That being said. ..I do like flirting but it's not full on flirting.

Just a look or smile. I'm not obvious about it.

"Yeah, I have done before but I'm past that now."

Past it as in being too old or because you aren't single anyway

Oh I love the "old fashioned" flirting in the pub. Fred knows everytime I go out on the town I'll do my best to enjoy some flirty banter and snog. Having met Fred back in the late 90's I've never done online dating of any description, but I quite fancy giving speed dating a go, just need a plaster to go over my wedding ring
