My wifi is down

I had planned on working from home this morning but there's only so much I can do without internet access on my laptop.

Its ridiculous how much we've become reliant on technology these days.

So how long do you think you could cope without WiFi? Would you feel like you were cut off from the world if you couldn't access social media? Do you use it for entertainment, streaming or visiting websites? Could you go back to pre smart phone days?

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

10 mins and I'd go mad. No i wouldn't. 4g. I'd survive.

Seriously I've switched off intentional sometimes. When I go camping I switch my sim into a crappy phone that doesn't have internet. It's good to unplug.

Oh god it's the worst thing ever to happen, it's true you don't realise how much you use it until you can't. Would be climbing the walls in half an hour. X

Yeah, I can do it, especially when I go on holiday it's just that - it's a break from my connected life. As long as I have music it's all good.

I recently had a weekend away up north and looked forward to no signal. My friends however spent an awful lot of time propping up their phones by the windows of the cabin!

Panic over! It appears the WiFi is only not working on my mobile (I didn't know that could happen?!).

I can go ahead with my plan to wear pyjamas all morning

Thought it was your laptop?

I see those posts on Facebook asking if I could live without internet for a year in return for a million pounds.

Hell yes if it meant mortgage free forever!

No I thought it was my WiFi but it appears to only be affecting my phone.

I sometimes think I'd give them the million to cut me off for a while

Apologies, the wee face was sarcasm, everybody knows turning it off and on is the solution to all problems

I love it when I run out of internet! I feel I have so much more headspace and I'm much more likely to do something wholesome, productive or creative.

My phone is a really useful tool for a lot of things but it's really freeing when I lose it/break it/leave it at home.

North Bucks

I think I could get a lot more done. I would be unhappy to lose my streaming services for sport etc but I would go old school and listen to it on one of those wireless things.

I would have a lot more time for my hobbies such as cooking etc so I think I would get by.

Would love to go live in a cabin away from it all for a year I think it would centre me.

I could survive without Internet for indefinite time, but would I want to? Absolutely not, I need to watch my Astronaut Housewives

I'd have a nightmare with no internet access, all of my images are delivered digitally via cloud based services. Clients use online galleries to select images from, they order prints through the gallery. Album designs are proofed and approved online, before they're then sent to my printers in Italy, again via the interweb.

What takes me a couple of days would take weeks via snail mail, and that's assuming snail mail ran perfectly smoothly.

I recently did a wifi detox, for four months. No tv phone or internet was funny explaining that to sky. Anyway if anyone does do it I recommend 2 an half as after 3 month you have to set up a new phone line. It was good. Only thing I missed was porn lol haven't gone back to sky. Tv is so overrated

If it wasn't for wanting to work from home sometimes I could live with just my mobile. I dnot watch TV or stream anything other than music but I could always download my playlists beforehand!
