"Granny crumpet... open ur fucking eyes and stop trying to be a crusader " Personally, I think Granny Crumpet is challenging people to be moderated in their flinging around of info and remind people that not escalating information is important (if not as thrilling for those wanting to voice their outrage, and I am as outraged by the attack) -- there is nothing she has posted that has not demonstrated having her eyes open, she also has her brain switched on and is thinking before speaking.

"So in the cold light of day, we know the three Muslim men drove a van at speed into innocent people walking across London bridge, they then went on to stab a number of people who were out enjoying the nice evening.. It is likely the men came from East London when they headed into London and witnesses have stated they shouted "this is for Allah" or similar.. No one has said they had an accent, so I assume they are local to London... So what next? Do we end up with vigilante gangs roaming the streets of of our cities? Will the latest incarnation of the black shirts be walking to parliament with banners "we told you so"? Will Enoch Powell's speech, "rivers of blood " be broadcast as a call to battle? I fear for the fallout of this latest event... The insidious rise of radicalisation of the youth, not just those of the Muslim faith, but non-Muslim, those that have never had an interest in any faith in their past, goes to show the level of mentality of these sick individuals.. Perhaps they do suffer with a psychological problem that predisposes them to be an easy target for radicalisation.. So how do we stop radicalisation in the first place? There in lies the million dollar question, but one starting point is social media.. the suppliers, google, WhatsApp,etc. have a moral responsibility to assist the security services.. WhatsApp has a level of inscription that makes it almost impossible to penetrate... Why???? I have no problem with the security services listening or reading what I put online, but then I am not planning on doing anything illegal.. The truth is we shouldn't be afraid of being watched by "big brother" "what about my civil liberties! " I hear you cry....Well, what about the civil liberties of those that dies last night, surely they outweigh the liberty to a private conversation about your hemerroids or what you are having for dinner... I'm now going to step off my soap box.. I thank you for listening.. " Has it been established, beyond any doubt AND reported by a 'trustworthy' (if there are any left) source that the three attackers shot this morning were Muslim ?

"WhatsApp has a level of encryption that makes it almost impossible to penetrate... Why???" Because encryption that can be penetrated isn't encryption. In general I've agreed with your posts before. This though, this is short-sighted at best. Are you really calling for government backdoors into encryption technologies? You can't think of a single scenario wherein you would like to keep your private information private? Or a single case of someone in power abusing their power? What happened in London is terrible but undermining all our security technologies is far, far worse.

"I think the British population is fucked in the head anyway. People seem more concerned with virtue signalling than expressing any genuine concern for the situation we no find ourselves in. Its a form of narcissism where people are so gakked up on the steady diet of indoctrination that they cant even see straight. Terrorism? Nah let me remind people of how much of a "good" white person I am by telling people how terrible it is to have any kind of genuine concern about radical elements of a religion which refuses to integrate with western society. And thats where the fallout of this stuff really happens. Its not in the grand plots like this but in everyday life. Increasingly segregated communities and the lack of cohesion. At this point things deserve to get ugly."

You're conforming to your own version of virtue signalling.

"Can anyone please tell me of any religion that advocates murdering innocent people? None that I know of but happy to be told otherwise. It really rather depends on what the nut job considers to be innocent doesn't it...." this.. pretty sure it does not mention abortion clinic in either of the old or new testaments..

"So many opinions, so little thought. Sometimes the reactions to such atrocities sickens me as much as the people that carry out the attacks I agree. The fact that some people take it to give them license to spout ignorant, hate-fuelled, reprehensible bullshit and actually get their kicks in doing so. Shame on them. Shame on the posters on this thread showing their small mindedness. As i said above, i believe granny is simply playing devil's advocate, there's no need to call her small minded etc. I know you well enough Clem to know you are joking. However, given the level of idiocy of some posters I'd ask that you don't confuse them and have them think I disagree with Granny Crumpet and not them. I'm not sure they'd be able to comprehend sarcasm. I'm using the facilities in the cloakroom." sorry Rugby! I fixed it!

I also believe that the Muslim community does very little to prevent the radicalisation, they are ashamed of it and hide it, very similar to the way the Catholic Church hid the sick acts of some priests... I am also disappointed that in the streets of Bow and mile end, posters are pasted to windows of empty shops with the slogan "Britain needs Shariah law" and "let's make Britain Muslim"... Really... is this acceptable? I don't see any people defacing these posters, I don't see any signs in the food shops around the east London Mosque, serving the faithful as they leave prayer stating anything close to "not in the name of my god" or "radicalisation is wrong.. Report it"... Perhaps it's too late to be ashamed about the radical clerics that are freely allowed to preach hatred.. Those that post sickening videos of innocent people having their throats cut.. It's a problem that can only be resolved from within the Muslim community and I'm sorry, but I just do mot see enough action from that community denouncing these acts of terror against innocent people.. It's time for the leaders of the Muslim religion across the world, to stand united and say enough is enough.. Not in the name of my god.... But they won't.. They can't even decide between themselves which version of the religioun is correct and so resort to violence to resolve that argument.. I'm sorry if I sound jaded, but religion is rubbish, there is no supreme being.. it's just a belief that you should use as an example of how to lead a peaceful life... It's not worth dieing for and it definitely doesn't require acts of murder.. We all know the crusades were wrong but that was almost a thousand years ago that started.. What blows my mind is the sheer audacity and arrogance of those who like to preach their lefty mantra of nonsense. All while knowing they ensure they're as far away from the problem as they possibly can be.

But yes, the inability of some to not clarify if they don't understand someone's point, or the arrogance in assuming they do understand it, and jump to unintended conclusions is staggering too.

Not responding to a question is not providing an answer but you putting an answer in my mouth again by assumption is done as it suits your narrative and your inability perhaps of recognising my point. I can own my intent, my point and even where you misinterpret it if it has upset you. You cite a failure in debate, and again miss the point that my original post was not to debate, even when I clearly explained that to you. You're very confused. *shrugs*

But my point is (as I had said earlier) my post was in response to those posts -- the ones you've now clarified you've not seen -- you joined as they were being removed, I assumed (my mistake) you'd read them because you didn't clarify otherwise when I explained my post was distinctly in response to them. Not to debate, to make a statement in direct opposition to the posts made. The posts were reprehensible, which is why they've been removed. If I choose to debate I would do so. I do often here. You're attacking my choice to make a statement opposing a statement that was not in debate. And attacking me without the full picture, for the sake of a point you want to make that I don't disagree with, wasn't making (as explained to you) and didn't have to respond to. I'm really sorry you've felt the need to ramble on in such a misinformed way. I'm also sorry you are t able to respect my preference for not being called hun, as mentioned earlier but then I suspect that's why you chose to use it.

"Bit of a tangent but did anyone see the young couple interviewed about what they witnessed from their flat ?" What about them, other than the final comment about being told to leave the flat.. In hindsight, that was a good call on the part of the met as there could have been a bomb. Other than that, a normal couple trying to comprehend the madness of last nights events.

You might want to think before you choose your insults; we're SJW Libtard Islam apologists." . Your actually misinformed, the crusades were multi faceted but never about wiping out islam!. A great deal of the fighting took place in Europe in places like Greece, Italy, Sicily, Spain. What started out as a rescue of Byzantine empire ended up as a re take of the holy land of the Levant!.. You'll notice that was a recapture of the holy land not a take from Muslim hands!. All this is irrelevant to almost everybody these days unless your a fucking whack job believer of course!. The two main religions of the world are the main ones because they inspire theyre followers into jihad and holy war, its not a coincidence that these two have billions of followers?. "We" in the West have managed to get past it, sadly the middle East, Africa and Asia hasn't for obvious reasons

"It is Muslim for, ' the one and only God' Muslim isn't a language. Ok, splitting hairs aside, it is in the Muslim faith, so their language follows suit. Arabic-speakers of several faiths, including CHRISTIANS and JEWS, use the word "Allah" It means God. So why ask what it means then? The guy saying he heard them say it sounds credible, he threw bottles and chairs at the attackers as they repeatedly stabbed a young girl and then followed them and guided police to their location, sounds like he was in a good position to hear what they were saying to me. Why try and defend the indefensible. "
