If you look in the fridge and cupboards, can you concoct a meal out of seemingly nothing?

I used to do this all the time

maybe not an amazing feat but can always make a meal out of something - used to do this with the kids find 3 or 4 things and make a meal - stood them in good stead once they went to uni

King's Crustacean

Yes I can.

When people say 'there is nothing in the fridge' .... I can produce something tasty.

Years of living on a budget.

As you so eloquently prove.

Yes there's always something you can make. That's from watching my Nan always conjure a meal out of leftovers.

Yes definitely, all I had the other day was some grated cheese and some bread. I took the bread, lightly toasted it, buttered it and then I came up with the idea of sprinkling the cheese over the toast, I then grilled it until the cheese was golden brown and bubbling beautifully, I ground some black pepper over it and enjoyed it with a dollop of brown sauce. I don't know what I'd call it but it was amazing. I reckon it'll catch on
