Yes it's all to do with migration. Nothing to do with selling arms to the Saudis who then resell to Isis. Nothing to do with reducing police numbers.

It was awful but it could have been a lot worse is the police response wasn't so quick and decisive. The mp's and police bosses talk a lot of nonsense that comes from a handbook but the guys and girls on the ground who actually do the policing do a great job. 8 minutes from initial call to three dead bad guys is amazing. Bearing in mind it takes a minute or so for the incident to be recorded and then go thru the chain of command before deployment, it was probably more like 4 or 5 minutes from being deployed to shooting them dead. You can't argue with that.

Once the details come out, it is highly likely that these men were British citizens who have lived here for years, not migrants.

One thing I find odd though is that they had fake suicide vests on, I can't see ISIS sympathisers wearing fake vests!!

Has any group admitted to being behind this cowardly attack on innocent people ?

This cowardice of attacking the innocent public just proves how weak the attackers really are.

If it comes out that the attackers were "known to security services" then it's time we shut down our borders until EVERY single activist/terrorist & even sympathetic to terrorism is thrown out of OUR country.

It's time to stop being gentle & finally rid our shores of cowards who have no respect of others.

Stand firm & NEVER give in to terrorists.

I for one, will not live in fear, I will get on with my life and live it the way I choose. I'm not going to let fear of when or how I may die control the hear and now. Over half a million deaths a year in this country and the majority of those are age and health related. Not violence, not terrorism which account for less than 0.1%. That minute percentage will not control me!!

Who said they were. Nobody has suggested going out and assaulting Muslims, are there any stories in the news today of Muslims being hunted down and killed, maimed or injured? there was no backlash against Muslims after Manchester and I doubt there will be after this. But to say the real victims of this attack are Muslims is pathetic and idiotic.

ISIS doesn't make Islam a bad religion any more than the Klu Klux Klan makes Christianity a bad religion, with 2.8 million practicing Muslims in the UK, around 5% of our population, we should note the fact it's the second biggest religion here, if it was the fault of the religion, with those kind of numbers we'd truly be fucked.

The key factor with the British is we never give in!

During WW2, Hitler tried to break our spirit but failed.

In the 70's and 80's, the IRA tried with their bombing campaign, but failed.

Then, these deluded terrorists whose ideology is so twisted and so far from the reality of the religion they claim to follow, plus hate our way of life, just don't realise they won't break our spirit, not today, not ever!

It's 7 dead now.

Stop the immigration blame game. None of these attackers have been anything other than British-born citizens.

It's a twisted ideology. Islam isn't the reason... It's just a convenient motivation and justification for thise with an agenda. I'm in Saudi Arabia right now. I get no sense of hatred from any of the locals I interact with here.

Every time this happens there's a general swing to the right, and that's just want these bastards want.

We need to look at the bigger picture and create a society where no one wants to commit these crimes.

Kicking in doors at 3am and 'disappearing' suspects or bombing villages isn't the answer... That just perpetuates the vicious circle.

It's possible, but Cardiff was wonderful yesterday. The security was heavier than normal, but it didn't feel overly intrusive IMO.

Yes, there were some pairs of armed officers around, but they spent most of their time happily posing for photos with fans and smiling.

Having a few road blocks was fine.

I drove back 100 miles back to my old city to spend the day enjoying the occasion. It's important for those who feel ok to do that, do so.

I'm not sure exactly who they are or what they want, but if they have a cause they could get feared and more reprisals, which would help their recruitment, and they could be happy with that.

Sad times and some of the responses on this thread are making me sad. A tragic event has occurred and a lot of self appointed judges with little information to go on.

I don't want to have too much of a rant, but if you're getting into the political side of it, remember who is in power in the UK and how effective of ineffective they have been at preventing this. If you want to live in a highly secure police state, look at the bombings that happened in the highly secure area of Kabul recently.

Tired, angry and confused right now. Probably a good job there's no one here for me to talk to, as my words would probably make little sense

Probably a good job there's no one here for me to talk to, as my words would probably make little sense "

Thankyou for those words dirty sex pig.

"Sad. Maybe people might use some common sense before they choose who they vote for.

On which party is going to open the doors again.

I think your foreign policy has far more to do with it than your immigration policy but never let the truth stand in the way of "mass hysteria"

As an outsider looking in I can assure you a Labour Government would result in a far safer Britain long term

Agreed. What we need is more people like Tony Blair spreading love around the middle East. "

You can't be serious endless labour governments and the apathy of the others is what has gotten us into this.

Wake up people.

The reality of Islam is in the countries it runs - not your friendly local shopkeeper here. In the countries it runs people are victimised and terrorised, there is no freedom for many, you will be punished severly for dissent - sounds like fascism to me. Our way of life would not be allowed by them in any place it controls. I agree it is not the people at fault but the ideology - a bit like trying to differentiate between Germans and Nazis in the 30s.

"It's 7 dead now.

Muslims get bombed all over the world by terrorists too. And then they bombed the recent funeral too.

It's vicious circle as you say. Whether from a suicide bomber or from a plane, people want reprisals.

Let's wait to hear who openly admit to being the "group / party" behind this attack in London.....

I have an open mind but won't be surprised if it is a religious background.

If it is then it's time to rid this country of allowing the cowards that hide and are being shielded by a supposedly peaceful religion out of OUR society.

Yet if a reprisal was brought against the religious group who DO shield these cowards who kill innocent law abiding people happen.....dont let them claim innocence......if they shield a terrorist they should expect the consequences, if they firmly believe their religion is a peaceful one then show it by announcing who the terrorists are who live among them.

If only it were that simple. I fear that would simply be used as a recruitment tool as to how the 'west' treats all Muslims.

A decent worldwide level of education would be a help to combating terrorism and few other things, but there's a lot of pressure on reducing foreign aid these days. And like benefit fraud, a few percent of dodgy foreign aid recipients are easy targets to highlight how foreign aid should be stopped.

You mean like the many muslims that reported the Manchester bomber to authorities because they believed he had been radicalised and were concerned about him. Almost every one of these fuckers are known to the police.

They must have thousands of people known to them but have to try and decide who is the biggest risk. Can't predict which one of them is going to do something.

From the response and bravery shown by the first police on the scene, there is now a strong case for all Police Officers to be armed.

The first Police Officer on the scene was UNARMED, and attempted to tackle all three terrorists... if he'd been armed the situation would have been dealt with even quicker.

The time for kid gloves has passed.

Too many of these attacks are carried out by people who are on the Security Services radar, they should be tagged, placed under curfew, or interned.

Yes exactly. It gets us nowhere to point out that the majority of muslims are good people. I'm sure they are.

But the plain, hard facts of the matter are that these extremists come from the muslim community. In the same way that the IRA came from the Irish community. The communities from where they come must be encouraged to take responsibility and actively root out the terrorists.

That won't happen if we brand all muslims as terrorists. But nor will it happen if we tread lightly for fear of offending minorities or religious sensitivities.

Precisely .....

I'm sure the extremists are in the minority within their religious groups so why don't the decent people / So called leaders within their religious groups do something about the bad ones amongst them who are creating their faith to be seen in a bad way by others ? ( whether it be misinformed or from media focus of that religious group ) .

But it is not just extremists is it? Every time there is an attack, the mosque that the attacker worshipped in is revealed and there always seems to be some link to extremism with that mosque.

For as long as they believe they will end up in some nirvana like heaven surrounded by willing virgins when they die after killing innocent people , we will have this problem .

Is it actually a fact that there is anything in the Muslim faith that says this is the case ?

If there is , we are fucked .....

If there isn't , or if it's been misinterpreted, then the teachings must be rectified . Teach the Muslim kids that far from being blessed for killing , you'll be punished .

It's the only way to stop it .

Is the link the attacker? I have to say I don't recall reading anything like this about the mosque that the Manchester bomber was affiliated to. Perhaps you could provide some links?

The BBC link simply says they need to learn. They have previously reported 3 potential radicals there is nothing in that article that suggests the bomber was definitely radicalised via the mosque or that the mosque was implicated in the bombing in any way other than the guy worshipped there.

The second actor has already been called into question by several other sources. I could print off a flyer saying you tried to radicalise me and wave it on question time. It would be no more proof than what that guy did. Did he report it to the police or sit on if to get his 15 mins of fame?

I see nothing in those articles that support your argument.

Or are these just some sad losers who are rejected by society and have nothing better to do with their lives than to murder innocent people?

Its just sad that after all these attacks muslim people need to be paraded on tv denouncing these fanatics and the so called experts tell us what must be done to keep us safe and then the antiwar people then try and say this is all because we invaded so and so but at the end of the day it's not about religion it's about fear and power

I'm not emotional at all. I wasn't involved in any of these Muslim attacks. I don't know anyone that was either.

She is just a typical apologist. Heard all the Imams come out and condemn these attack? Every single one in the UK? Many? Any?

That person on BBC QT was lying then? No such leaflet?

Imagine getting such a hate leaflet in a Church in and no one reporting anything?

And what about the Imam at Abedi's mosque. He admitted how Abedi reacted to some of his speeches on tolerance. Yet he did nothing.

Even though the article you provided states they reported at least 3 people?

How do you know they did nothing he was known to the authorities so someone reported him.

One person with a bit of paper o tv is not enough evidence now is it? Even you have to admit that. Why did he hang on to it and not report it to the police like a good upstairs ding citizen?

The Muslim council have condemned every attack in separate statements after each one but I guess that isn't good enough for you.

Of course I'm not saying that all Muslims are good people. Of course there are bad elements but must b like all Christians cannkt be called kkk members, not all Catholic priests can be called paedophiles, not all Muslims can be called terrorists.
