Are you tired ? I think that can cause it.

You could wear an eye patch and dress up like Captain Jack.

I normally give it a good rub

Relax? get some more sleep? rest your eyes from too much looking at screens? reduce your caffeine intake?

It usually goes away on its own, but it can be distracting and irritating while it persists

"Allergies, hayfever maybe? Have had some antihistamine?"

I haven't been bothered with hayfever this year yet so maybe, I started antihistamines really early this year

"Ive got a twitchy eye! Its been doing it for days. How do I stop it?!"

You need a good night's sleep. Maybe a blindfold to really let your eyes get some rest.

I'd be happy to come round and keep an eye on you, make sure no one takes advantage of you...

somewhere

I get this when I'm stressed. Lasted over 2 weeks once. Someone told me I needed to take magnesium and it went but it may have had nothing to do with taking the magnesium!

On a more serious note, as others have said check your sleeping, stress levels, caffeine intake, allergies etc

I get eye twitches a lot.
