"Cowell destroyed music. Now he's having a go at "talent" as well. The elephant(s) in the room is the fact that the people doing the judging are the least talented of the lot. And they're doing the talent spotting. Like Masterchef and Dragons Den repetition ensues and staleness takes over. I think it's disgusting how these TV companies put rubbish on at weekends to deliberately try and get us to go out and experience the fresh air and move our arms and legs and that and interact with other humans. It ain't natural so it ain't. My friend Simon says that if God has wanted us to waste life watching shite on television and stagnate our brains and lessen our quality of life, he would've given us licenses. Some of their missing people will want to remain missing - they have their reasons. When they were showing pictures of their missing people during the audition I was really uncomfortable. It's incredibly sad for them, and I understand their worry (I'd be the same) but I know people who have removed themselves from the lives of their families for very good reasons. | |||
