Burn!

OK, so last week I burned my arm on my oven rack, today I burned my finger on my curling wand.

All the pain! I use germolene as it has an anesthetic in it to numb the pain, but it's not the best...

What do you use?

Vaseline. It's all about interrupting the air/burn interface.

Make sure to massage the area with a piece of sandpaper first.

Ask at your pharmacy about pads/plasters with cooling gel for burns, apparently they work wonders

I mate of mine who used to be a chef used to swear that if he ever burnt himself then he would burn the burn. It hurt like hell but help speed up the heeling process.

That is crazy advice - it hurts less because you are damaging the nerves. Not good in the long term and there is a huge risk of infection.

You need to cool the burn, wrap a cool, damp towel or COTTON (never synthetic) cloth around it and keep replacing it. Some cooling gel like aloe vera or an antiseptic will help prevent infection.

Cold water for at least 10 minutes

Burneaze is meant to be good. Luckily I've not burnt myself too badly for a while now.

This is the correct answer... you can wrap it in cling film after that but you shouldn't do anything else with it!
