Had a rare vanilla night out with a girl from work last night! We got chatted up (and eyed up by quite a few groups of guys) but that was really down to her as she's a gorgeous, petite Thai lady. I felt like one of Cinderella's ugly sisters sat next to her!

Not talking about you particularly as we've never met but there is a lot in what you say. Even the physically attractive can unconsciously appear unapproachable to people who really fancy them. It can be body language or expression, or even if they talk to you and don't get an encouraging response it won't go well. Most people who experience this don't realise the impression they are giving off. We are creatures of instinct and first impressions count for a lot.

Depends on how dark the bar was. I once got chatted up with the line "do you want to be the mother of my children?"

There was two bars (when i was younger) where you were guaranteed to be chatted up. So if you'd not spied someone you fancied but still wanted a snog, that's where you went.
