I feel so fortunate to have a mix ethnicity.

I can enjoy different cultures and experience the world from different perspectives.

Wouldn't change it for anything.

Does anyone else have this added bonus in life?

.

I'm a hotpot of several cultural confusions mixed in to one confused bundle.

Yeah, it can be great at times. I love having so much heritage and travelling and seeing my family around the world. At the same time it's difficult to feel like you truly belong to one culture or belong. You're never quite whatever enough. I guess it's something that comes with time.

Absolutely understand, it's hard to explain at times however it's a great feeling.

Yup, absolutely love the fact I have such a diverse background, and feel very fortunate.

Sicilian father.

British mother.

Born in Brussels.

Went to an international school.

Have spoken 5 languages most of my life.

This is brilliant, do you find it gives you a better perspective in life?

I'm mixed race, but you'd probably never know by looking at me. Which is a good thing because I can sleep with racists and they don't know till I drop the bombshell on them afterwards

We all are really, just depends how recently the mix was done!

Shame people tend to forget that.

Very, very much so. I think I'm much more understanding, open and receptive of different cultures, like on linguistic or culinary levels, for example.

I've noticed that English people, through no fault of their own, are useless at speaking to continental or Eastern Europeans for example. They pronounce everything as if they were speaking to Del from next door, enunciating poorly, too fast, using slang. Where I've been brought up surrounded by all sorts of different cultures, and thanks to learning languages at an early age, I can almost think in the person I'm speaking to's language.

That's so true. I have no idea of my cultural heritage but I'm perfectly happy to experience (and sometimes appropriate) anyone elses that I like/enjoy or agree with.
