'Unknown' bands that you love...and would like to introduce others to?

Witness.

They made two wonderful albums ('Before The Calm' and 'Under A Sun')in the late 90's/early 00's before splitting up.

Shame.

The Chameleons were a brilliant band of the early 90s but internal wrangling forced a split.

Their album Script of the Bridge remains one of my favourite albums to date and I still play it regularly.

Way of the West were another great band of the late 80s. They made four singles and I still have them on vinyl 12".

"Don't Say That's Just for White Boys" was their more better known song.

To be honest it's one of those bands that got introduced to me by a good friend who played it every time I went round when under the influence. Always said 'whose this then' and always replied the Chameleons. Don't actually own any which is to my demise but have listened to Script of the Bridge many times and love them all. Hypnotic not in it. Thats reminded me of things I need to own that I forget to do

Go on Amazon now and search for Script of the Bridge. a 25th Anniversary edition has been released which features a bonus CD of live songs of the original album as well as the album itself.

I just bought all three of their albums for £25. Literally two minutes ago. (my CD is a bit worn tbh but still playable but the 25th Anniv edition looks a good buy).

The Hamsters - very bluesy rock. Do a lot of their own stuff - but also some great covers - particularly Hendrix

I saw them when they played Wembley Stadium...they were on the support bill for INXS. Yes, they were good...thanks for the reminder.
