Birmingham Airport

I got so many offers drone Wales it set me thinking, " are these people just trying to raise money for the Welsh govt etc"

Anyway, that was a joke. This is my actual question: is there any form of accountability on the money raised from toll bridges? Is this sort of info somewhere the ordinary man can have a look at?

That would mean they are raising at least 70 quid a minute considering the number of kiosks and cars that go through per minute, assuming a tar takes 20 secs to finish paying.

WELWYN GARDEN CITY

When they completed the Dartford Crossing they promised that once the tolls taken had paid for it they would remove the tolls. That point was reached in about 2003/4, but they reneged on that.

That's right, now work out how much time and fuel savings have taken place and viola, your better off paying £3:50

Won't it be a good idea if once a year they could pay off the mortgage for one random over 50yr old couple via ballot?

It would make it veeeery easy paying that toll.

I do it if I'm wasting time in work and I get past the bridge turn off and the sat nab says an extra 1 and half hours home and I regret it straight away lol.

Yes, indeed, and does anyone remember who was Chancellor of the Exchequer at the time?

The tolls are used to pay back the construction costs and financing on both of the bridges. Once these are paid of they revert to public ownership.

Severn River Crossing plc is the company responsible for them.

I did the tax returns for a couple of years.

Discounted deferred tax ftw

When I go to Cwmbran, I don't take the toll, only costs me an extra 10 minutes. Don't see point in going over the bridge

P.O. Box DE1 0NQ

Darley Abbey Toll Bridge is manned occasionally

www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1idgB5SBPo

A TOLL is set to be charged to cross Darley Abbey bridge for the first time in two decades.

The £1 cost for crossing the River Derwent, via Haslam's Lane, will come into force in the next month.

Would post the Derby Evening Telegraph links, but don't fancy a spell on the step

I'm fed up with the tyne tunnel charges.

You can buy a pass but the saving is tiny
