He's very good and passionate at films but he never likes blockbusters

Without spoiling it: it's pretty much a Prometheus sequel with the "Prometheus bits" rushed in order to cram in the Alien

We watched it Thursday evening and thought it was good. Have read somewhere ( can't remember where) that Depp has already signed up for the next one.. Thought this was the last one to be made.. Was good though

Saw it this afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes you have to take a lot of it with a pinch of salt, but it has everything you would expect from a POTC film - action, comedy, touching moments, good characterisation old and new. The only bit I didn't really like was the brief cameo from someone famous as Jack's uncle, which was pretty poorly done and totally unnecessary.

I took my daughter to see it last night as we are big P.O.C. fans and we both thought it was btilliant. We stayed till the end of the credits for the end clip and hope it leads on to another film.

He enjoyed Mama Mia, much to his own dismay... Well worth finding the podcast for that review, it's quite amusing..

As for pirates, it's worth a watch..

It's johnny Depp doing what he does best and if you like the whole pirates franchise, you'll enjoy this one.
