Anyone do this?

Maybe tie dye... altering via sewing... adding bits... shortening skirts...

We need inspiration please.

Embroidery is big this season, you can buy ready made embroidered patches or embroider blouses, jeans etc yourself. I've embroidered a white blouse to hide a small tear.

You can make cold shoulder shirts from plain ones.

There are loads of ideas on the net for customising tee shirts. I often buy a huge one from a charity shop, cut the neck so it slips off one shoulder then knot it at the front hem .

Shortening stuff is a necessity for me at five one lol.

What are you doing?

When I was a teenager I tie dyed tops, dyed shorts, sewed stuff on tops and jeans. I can't do bothered now.

I sometimes turn my boxers into crotchless boxers, through a complicated process of sweating, chaffing and rubbing.

"Oh also look in fabric shops at their buttons, trimmings etc."

I try to avoid fabric shops. It's like porn. I can't help myself!

I've shortened skirts and taken them in when I lost weight. Altered tshirt necks that were too high, to make like a v neck. I like eyelets and cord so it's laced up. I might do a tshirt with like a corset style back. Seems to be those types in shops at the mo.

I knit stuff to wear. Mixing knitting and sewing can be funky, too.

Marc also got me knitted metal jewelry in Barcelona and I'm going to try making some for myself when I get the materials.

I wish I could alter clothes; I have two bin bags full of some much loved old clothes that are now too big for me but I keep meaning to either sell or get altered. I am too cack-handed though and can't even sew a straight line with a sewing machine. I enjoy knitting however, as long as it's something simple. I keep meaning to knit a proper sofa blanket.

I've been looking for a new bathing suit to buy and I've noticed a trend for knitted/crocheted bathing suits

I think I'll make one of those when I have the time. There didn't seem too much to them, so they can't take that long to make

Wouldn't that just soak up water?

Also - off topic but would Marc be mortally offended if I wanted to grope his arse when we meet?

I think they are more fashionable than functional. Meant to be seen in, not swam in...

And grope all you want. Marc has a cute bum

It does look deliciously cute in your avatar! Actually I might just grope all the butts on the day in question.
