Getting hard too quickly

So the instructions on the tin states quite clearly i have 30 minutes before the filler goes off. Like fuck, more like 5 minutes if i'm lucky. Talk about frantic.

I think the problem is it says mix a golf ball sized amount of filler with a pea sized amount of hardener. I don't play golf, guess i have trouble knowing just how big certain balls should be.

Agree,to most people who would need body filler golf means mk1 gti etc, a large egg to a pea is pretty good ratio, but in hot weather outside it will still harden too quickly...

Loads of clips on yootoob showing how to do it, virtually anything else that needs fixing too ...

Thanks for that but it's actually for a window frame and i haven't been in a Mk 1 for about 25 years.
