I've been driving since I was 17 , always had old bangers either bought by dad , ex or given to me via hand me downs in the family. .. But tonight for the first time ever. I went out , test drove , checked all the points I'd been advised to check , and bought a 5k car. I'm so chuffed

I feel like such a grown up

What have you done recently that made you suddenly feel grown up ???

Interviewing people for jobs at work

I remember how intimidating it was when I first had an interview, never thought I'd be the one doing the interviewing.

Yep I've done this too. I have been amused when I've asked 'so tell me about yourself?' They instantly tell me about their personal life when I'm interviewing for an Administration Assistant role and I want to know what their career aspirations are and what they've done.

Recently been pricing up some fencing for the back garden, strangely this made me feel more grown up than actually buying the house.

I did that last year, had a 6ft fence erected, total privacy but now troublesome neighbours have got a 10ft trampoline right next to the fence!!!!

Thankfully our only neighbours that could do similar are pushing 60 so I think we'll be okay. Trampolines seem to be quite a lasting fad. We are guilty of having one in the garden, but it's right at the end and only over looks an empty field.

Sorry. Got lost in fab world there, and o can't reply to all. Everyone has had amazing and sad experiences. I'm pleased that there are others who have certain things they can look on as a moment in time when independent adult hood shines.

Am going to sleep a happy bunny tonight xxxx night all xxx

Grown up you say OP?

When I passed my bike and car test within 10 days of each other in December 1981.

I was a man then

I still act like a child sometimes though
