I sure wish i had their energy levels and determination to succeed. They receive a hell of a lot of stick and for young men they deal with everything thats thrown at them exceptionally well

Hands up im not a fan of their music, but watching them perform they really enjoy themselves and give everything.

Can you see the good in things that on the surface your not keen on?

thats the kinda point im trying to make.. im not a fan and they do talk rubbish but ive never seen them miserable, throwing hissy fits, making demands.. they are passionate about what they do and it shows

thats because they are well managed and have a good PR company behind them!!!

they dont have any talent to speak of, i went to my Nephews shcool play the other day and hands down anyone of tyhe kids their have more talent in their little finger than those two do.

I know exactly what you mean OP - they are either thick as a bucketful or pretty shrewd. I've seen them on Celebrity Juice and they are naturally witty and make spontaneous off the cuff remarks - which can't be taught by a management team. Their singing and performing is dire but thats the whole idea of it. Its clever marketting - kudos to them.

They did though when they got booed off stage at Barnsley last year lol.

May be you don't see them doing that because they have been told as soon as they are seen doing that on the telly/stage the gravy train will start getting lumpy.... it's all about image and putting a fake front on.

They are a pair of dimwits with no talent, no dress sense and no clue as to why they are popular with some people.... not that they would really care if they did understand. It's a sad reflection of our society that fame is all that matters to some.

i completely get that people do not like Jedward, im not a fan, but i can see the good in things despite not liking them

they don't have talent like other musicians do, but i for one certainly am not thick skinned like they are. They were determined from a young age to make the business and through luck and marketing they have achieved their dreams.

Their 'music' is bilge but you cant blame them for cashing in on those daft enough to follow the hype and tripe of pop factor or whatever . So who's the dafties eh ? the two jeds with the mad hair and wonky singing and danceing or those lining Cowell and the like's pockets ?

When the fame runs out the jeds should be able to fade wealthily into obscurity , with a haircut who will even recognise them . Fair play to them i say , even if they are crap .

I am pretty sure we all know what the OP means but disagree with the example. It's not far off saying Fred West was a bit of a bastard but he did help reduce the number of young people on the housing waiting list and wasn't shy at getting stuck in when a bit of DIY around the house needed doing.... that man could really handle a spade.

Jedward are what sort of example for young people... you can get rich if you are prepared to be a puppet and be crap at pretty much everything. OK they are not exactly mass murderer role models.... but they hardly encourage kids to work hard at developing their talents.

I like the reference to talent and jedwood its a bit like Loc Ness and the monster. It often gets talked about but we know it doesn’t exist.

At best the boys have been manipulated and used to make others money and maybe them a little. I am sure in the future when the bubble pops they will look back with dismay and embarrassment. Personally i just hope they are not blessed with intellect and don’t work it out and end up living happily in dream world.
