Bill Gates the founder of Microsoft, has made some interesting tweets about life recently.

Surround yourself with people who challenge you, teach you and push you to be your best self.

Measure happiness by people close to you being happy and loving you,and by the difference you make to others.

Do you follow such deep thoughts, or do you surround yourself with people who tell you what you want to hear, and measure happiness by the size of your flat screen... or Sky remote?

I surround myself with people who are upbeat and positive because otherwise their low mood brings me down and i'd struggle to shake that off.

I don't watch the news or anything like that for the same reason, i stick to radio news as it's condensed and not so "THE END IS NIGH!" dramatic.

You have to do what works for you in life, essentially.

I'm surrounded by people who need me. It doesn't make me into anything other than who I already am. You can't make people want to be around you (unless you're rich and influential) because you have nothing they need or want.

You can't make people do anything no. But you can influence or encourage them, by actions that decent folk will see as being far more valuable than materialistic belongings.

i honestly don't find such stuff that deep. it's like a set of commands that don't really offer anything in the way of encouraging deep thinking.

anyone who is close to me i consider myself very lucky for having them in my life coz i have really high walls to get past and only genuinely decent people get around them. it really is a handful of people.

Only if they are the kind to be influenced. To me that is a sign of weakness and I don't want them around me.
