Are you having surgery to fix it?

I had an undiagnosed one for years, it didn't stop me. Eventually had it repaired a couple of years ago.

I suppose it depends on the severity of it. X

Did mine doing leg presses at the gym....drove home then went to hospital. Thirty milligrammes of morphine and half an hour later in surgery. Repaired with mesh,no problems since.

6 week recovery of no heavy lifts.

I got 2 for 1 from surgery when I went under for another op'. They fixed mine 'while they were in there' (surgeons words).
