The Witcher, because you play as Geralt the monster slayer otherwise known as Badass!

You also get to have sex with Sorcerers and Witches and Humans and even Monsters .

Read all the books the game is based on too, 3 times.

I dunno if mine made it to the end of the last thread. Typical. I never manage to make it out of lurkerdom, but when I do the thread fills. Haha.

Goldeneye n64 was the first game I ever loved. Lol.

I actually still have my n64 for occasional playing.

I mentioned it as best N64 game.

Played the shit out of that while I was in the Army stationed in Cyprus when the N64 first came out, got a large part of my platoon and Company hooked playing 4 man death matches.

I am not a fan at all. But. As I said, first game I could beat my brothers on, I tried very hard ut I was just never that good at anything else.

Love the older Mario games though, and the Abes oddessy/exodus do games.

It was just as the thread got closed.

Still an epic game, but now playing it again it's not easy or as much fun. The controls are awful even playing on a N64 controller with USB and a N64 emulator after so many years of really good generations of controllers and customisable configs. Back then you played with the options you were given and sucked it up.

Shame, so many endless hours stagging on playing that game.

Much as I still rate the N64 controller as one of the best, not the best, but certainly a revolution in gaming interface.

Goldeneye itself though, hell, groundbreaking.

As mentioned, I was in the Army when it came out, watching the enemy mobs actually patrolling, mind blowing.

I didn't really like the deathmatch style of gaming, but owning people on a winner stays on setup, epiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiic. Reminded me of putting a Quid in Streetfighter II in the arcade and 3 hours later still having 3 credits left to play and a line of people left crying after the arse whooping you gave them.

Meh, credit where it is due. So please, take it for what it is, genuine appreciation for someone bothering and being good at what they do for the greater good of the masses.

Your threads are one of the reasons I ventured out of the main site and started posting.

Judge for yourself if that is a good thing or a bad thing, as prior I found the forums generally not to my tastes.

No need to blush, be proud and happy.

Lastly, thanks for your time and effort. (:

You led, they followed, works and works well.

Glad it has, this topic/genre is highly appealing and a joy to have on a site.

Speaking of Daley Thompson's Decathlon, ummmm, Track and Field in the Arcade anyone?

The single game that prepared me for the texting generation and scared the hell out of my Keyboarding Applications teacher at school when I was able to smash her keyboard speed typing assessment software because I had fingers hardened by endless hours of pounding Arcade buttons to spank the 100m race playing it!

Hehe. Yeah.

My best friend had zx 48k and attic attack

Played it for hours.

We got a C64 the Xmas after

Fav games were

Manic Minor, Jet set willy, (first game to try anti copy with the colour squares and corresponding number code to type in)

Monty Mole, Ghost Busters, The Hobbit, Mr. Wimpy.

Years later had a SNES

Completes super Mario world and played it to death only 'console' ever had.

Won't to PC but still prefer the retro games for playability and addiction

Me too, although playing arkham knight & finding the batmobile battles boring & repetitive. I love tearing around the streets in it but boring battles. Lol

The freedom to explore more than makes up for that I found though

Oh yes, still a great game.

Mix that with the battle scheme from Star Wars Battlefront and you have the perfect game!"

Great idea.

I'm a batman geek and love the unreal tournament engine which makes the combat pretty epic with these games x

First PC game was Quake original

Couldn't wait for Quake II

Loved Duke3d (yeah, come get some)

That was the best game ever, pixelated simple graphics but searching for the secrets and his cheeky character, brilliant.

Had the xrated addon and plutonium pack.

I followed the new release of Duke for 10 years, waiting, waiting, going to be awesome, using halflife engine, then delayed again as developers change to unreal engine.

More years past and then... oh yes. Releases!

If was shit! They killed it and stole my money

Game I lost the most time to? Final Fantasy VII. Spent years playing that game over and over because I enjoyed it so much. Can't wait for the remake!

Favourite ever? Tie between Super Mario Bros. 3 and Tetris. Mario because it was the first game I ever saved up for and bought with my own money, and Tetris because it's just a perfect game

"Evening

Why good evening and welcome to the Late Night Nerd Party!

Good to be back! What's tonight's topic?

Tonight we are discussing favourite video games and why

Game I lost the most time to? Final Fantasy VII. Spent years playing that game over and over because I enjoyed it so much. Can't wait for the remake!

Favourite ever? Tie between Super Mario Bros. 3 and Tetris. Mario because it was the first game I ever saved up for and bought with my own money, and Tetris because it's just a perfect game

Some very good choices there! All three are very nostalgic games.

Is it bad that I still play Tetris on a regular basis?"

Not at all! Like I said, it's a game that is scientifically proven to be an NP Perfect, in that even a computer couldn't beat the game on its highest difficulty.

Ever seen the documentary about the Tetris Championships?

That is very true. Tetris and Sodoku are how I challenge my brain on a daily basis.

I haven't, no.

Oh my god I put so many hours into Vice City!

Ocarina of Time we established earlier as being the best Zelda game (Obviously) and Goldeneye was briefly mentioned.

You have some great choices there!

I have my phone for things like that. I love brain games...strange how they can instigate relaxation.

I shall try to remember that

The key to being good at scrabble is knowing the little words.
