Does it cause you problems in arranging meets and how do you overcome it.

Yes very much so! I take my time to get to know someone, talk on the phone so Im comfortable with them and always have a social first.

Yes. I still haven't gone to a club due to shyness. Or arranged a meet.

I guess it can be scary for single female to meet new people for the first time. Suppose public meets are good idea first

It's normal to be a bit apprehensive I guess, everyone is in the same boat though.. I think that helps me to relax.

Who am I kidding, I can't be arsed being shy these days.. shy bearns get nowt is a saying for a reason lol

I used to be shy, well more self conscious but soon realised that it was all in my head and the other person had all the same anxieties and self doubt when meeting someone for the first time.

The shyness is still there but well managed to a point where I seem confident and at ease with different people and situations.

Causes huge problems for me. And tbh mostly I don't overcome it.

Usually helps if it's last minute rather than planned. And also no social before makes me less worried which I know is odd and also not the safest either.

It's incredibly difficult having kinks and high sexual needs but also being shy/awkward/self concious

Interesting. I am a card carrying introvert but me, my brain and a keyboard and I'm fine. Arranging meets isn't an issue in cyber space for me. It's more an issue of me being a bell end sometimes and putting people off.

It's the real world stuff where it gets worrying. I am useless at small talk and I get very nervous meeting someone for the first time - or even speaking on the phone.

Think that's what I am saying. Its easy to arrange a meet when on line but to knock on door or walk into cafe is another issue

I have social anxiety issues which puts me off socials and clubs.

However, my shyness when it comes to 1 to 1 meets has improved loads since I've joined fab, probably as I have a tendency to talk for a long time before I meet. I still get epic nervous excited butterflies pre meet and I can be a bit shy for the first few minutes. Then I don't shut up.

I'm shy but I talk a lot to cover it up. Don't over think it and an element of nerves is all part of meets in my eyes. You can use nervous energy in a positive way.
