I wear scruffy jeans through the day. So when I get home and weekends I tend to look clean and smartish. This way I feel like I've finished work. Coupled with the fact I have a hot neighbour who I'd hate to see me in joggers. And my post lady is cute, (not th regular, he's a miserable twonk with his head phones in) one day I might open the door holding a towel around me, and when she asks for a signature, I'll ask 'who will hold my towel up?'

Anyway, back to my point? Do you all consciously dress differently to your work clothes?

Ahhh now I've seen your re-post.

I can be very smart at work or quite casual depending on specific day of work, so there's crossover with my normal attire, yes. Although I don't wear my jim-jams to work, and I may enjoy mooching about in them at home.

I tend to dress smart/casual for work. If Im home I tend to just wear a vest and pants and if Im out socialising a nice dress or jeans.

I do like to change after work just so it feels like that part of my day is done and I can relax.

Currently I'm wearing sweaty gym clothes.

Usually wear skinny jeans, tshirt and converse through the day which is not dissimilar to my work attire.

My dogs. One is being my slippers, one is being my shawl, although he's getting a bit heavy.

Other than that I have my pink and black pyjamas and a pink cardi on.

I look really sexy

Definitely wouldn't wear my work attire at home.

Jeans and a smart top usually, but very rarely get in my pjs until bedtime.

I think I'm missing out!

But so many questions...

What if I have unexpected visitors?

What if a workman comes to the house?

What if I need to rush out?

How does the PJ thing work if any of the above happen?

I'm getting flustered just thinking about those options

uniform for work - only dress scruffily when wearing the decorating pants and t-shirt - think im quite smart casual most of the time but i do have some nice dresses to flounce in if needed

Well I usually wear a smart dress most days, rarely wear jeans and only bought my first pair last year. Though today I'm wearing a pair of leather trousers for a change. X

Shorts and tee today... Its going to be a scorcher.

My current work is voluntary, and mostly done from home, over the phone (and no... I don't get asked what I'm wearing ), so I can wear whatever I like, which is handy living in the country as sometimes that's wellies , but if a situation escalates and I do have to attend to a client I'll dress appropriately for the circumstances and location - usually something smart-casual, inexpensive, unintimidating...

I do like having the opportunity to dress up and head into town now and then though... Put on a pretty dress and heels, and see if I can turn a few heads

Seeing as I usually work (from home) in knickers and a man's dressing gown (I ditch the dressing gown when it's hot) then yes, when I eventually get dressed it's very different to my work clothes

I like to wear smart clothes to work, quite often sporting some inappropriate underwear underneath

Once I'm home it depends on my mood and how the evening is going to pan out. Sometimes it's a bath and pj's, sometimes I keep the smart clothes on.

Definitely depends on my mood OP

Work shorts/trousers covered in silicone, flux, oil and grease stains wouldn't be considered the most comfortable of attire for me to kick-back in.

My mood massively affects how I dress after work. Lately it's been sloppy, curl up on the sofa stuff.

If I'm at home in generally in my pjs because my work clothes are the same as my "normal" clothes. I suppose that's why I like it when I get a waitressing shift, wear a proper uniform and get to properly "clock out".

It was really frustrating last bank holiday. I had work (of course) and thought it would be nice for myself and my son to actually eat together so we ate at my work before I started. I'm in my normal attire. Black trousers and a smartish top. Sitting at a table with my son eating our meals. One of the customers recognised me, came over whilst we were eating. She said "you're one of the managers aren't ya" and tried to give me the money for her bill as her waitress was busy

So Yeah, pj's are my only safety!!

Nope. I am a scruff! I dress up, or sometimes down to go out though- sometimes I wear my 'smart' jeans!
