I always wonder why people ask this question and how they interpret the answer. I doubt there are many on here who have been single as long as me, and feel that when I tell people they reel in horror and judgement.

I've been separated since March 2015, so just over 2 years and I'm in the midst of a divorce.

I'm still very much enjoying it being just me and the kids, I did date a little after the separation, but it all seemed like rather hard work for something that was supposed to be fun.

Blimey! How I wish I was closer to some of you gorgeous ladies!

What are the things that you miss from your realationships?

For me it was the companionship, connecting, friendship. having someone there for you not because they have to be because they wanted to be it was nice

However single life has its perks lol

I think I've just woke up in the soppy side this morning

I was married for almost 25 years, most of it good, I don't regret getting married. Marriage was the best thing that happened to me when I was younger, a man who gave me stability and love. It just didn't work out in the end.

Been single 10 years now, single is what is right for me now. Have no desire to be a couple again, can't say I miss anything about being married. Very happy bunny

i had a fuck buddy for 2 and half years (yeaers ago) and to everyone else we looked like a couple hung out weekly went on holiday together went on adventures together but he didnt want to be in a relationship and i didnt know how i felt.

so in terms of dateing and being with someone i have never had a bf

I've been single (really single, no brief relationships etc) for 11 years and 3 months. I am very happy with my life: I have my daughter for snuggles, Fab and FBs for sex, and work and friends for socialising.

I do miss it from time to time but every bloke I've been with has ended up a nightmare so I feel safer alone.

Did you not post about 3 months ago you were going to take the virginity of your ex and wanted advice on the matter?

Of all those who have been single for more than 2 years , is that your choice?

For me its not my choice but I do not want to be in a normal monogomous relationship. A swinging relationship would probably suit me which is why I stay on this site.

"I always wonder why people ask this question and how they interpret the answer. I doubt there are many on here who have been single as long as me, and feel that when I tell people they reel in horror and judgement."

Admiration and respect from me.

I'm single 18 months and realise that's the way it'll stay. Out of choice. Nevertheless it's still hard. So yeah, I feel being single deserves respect rather than judgement.
