Has swinging changed?

Hi all

I have just been sat pondering whether swinging has changed or if it's just my perception.

My wife and I have been swingers since the start of the internet and have found that the profiles and replies from "ladies" have become more aggressive and direct over the years resulting in NO lasting communication with decent ladies on here.

Has my expectation remained commensurate or are the "ladies" seeking revenge on years of perceived oppression?

You are seriously suggesting, that women come on here seeking revenge, for years of what we 'perceived' as oppression ?

Words actually fail me

The art of conversation is dead, people communicate in short sentences, have no manners and just want a fuck not a person. This site particularly has gone much worse in ten years or so. Luckily due to by gender I can find other places to meet and chat to people like me.

I was part of a married couple, life for singles in many parts of the country is very hard. I know through dating sites that where I live people hide behind a veil more than other areas where I work as i look there too.

No Sophee, I was not "seriously suggesting", it was a question.....

Anyone else see the irony in my question and Sophee's response about aggressiveness??

The implication is, that we are not ladies.

wouldn't make sense then. ladies is a polite way of referring to a woman.

wasn't sure if he thought they were men?

Swinging has certainly change. There was a time where conversation would take place. I am still in contact with those that I first meet all those years ago. Now, the scene has change beyond recognition. Is that due to numbers, society? Who knows

Ladies as in a positive, polite way. 'ladies', as in 'so called' ladies.

I don't know. Perhaps. Friendships were formed. Would meet for a beverage. A chat. An evening out. If fun ensued, then cool, not just a swipe right.

I reply politely to ALL mail, even the inappropriate approaches. Sometimes I have a short interaction for a few mails, any more, and the conversation can be misinterpreted as a possible meet. I am not one with an aggressive profile either.

I am genuinely not having a pop at you, but I haven't got enough hours in the day to say yes to a social/brew/beer, to everyone who asks. So yes, I often say no thank you. That doesn't mean I come on here to make men's life a misery for previous life events.

I fully appreciate that and a "No, thank you" would be nice. I fully understand that I'm not everyone's cup of tea but as a respectful person that gives a rather personal, detailed and thoughtful introduction as opposed to "wanna fuck", I get frustrated at being ignored. My issue I guess.

I doubt you would speak to me on the street as many man do to women on here. Don't have the balls or maybe you were raised to address people with a bit of respect...in person.

Precisely my point.

I like to treat people with respect. I like to be treated with respect.

The messages my wife receives on here are despicable.

What frustrates me is when I treat ladies with respect I get treated like a leper.

With respect, do you reciprocate that respect or just ignore us?

The fact that you are engaging in a conversation rather confirms my question.

When I get respectful messages, I ALWAYS answer, and in a respectful manner. Though I do admit, I get a bit terse at times-- due to previous messages. Still, I try to be nice.
