Refine your search parameters to include 'only show those who seek my age range too'. Then the unattainable, will not be visible

Yeah, there's one or two who use the forums who set theirs 1 year older than I am, which is bitterly disappointing.

I'm now 41 op. I know at 46 I'm going to be unappealing to more. And then 51. I think people round up/down for ease.

As you're outside of the criteria of one lot, you'll find newer entrants arriving who do want you, as their interests or stats change too.

It's only when there are zero people open to you that there's an issue.

Or when desperate, become more of an in-betweener, not too thin or overweight, pale or heavily tanned etc. Use pics wisely, making dimensions appear more moderate.

Personally, I'm rejoining on my 99th birthday just to send a load of FAF messages to people who didn't bother setting an age preference range

Yes op - it's a bugger!

However - though my age is set at 25-45 I rarely meet anyone of 25 or 45 - I tend to meet those who are somewhere in the middle! Ergo - even if you 'scraped' through the age parameters - there are still no guarantees lovely! Xx

Wait until you exceed 50.

Its the most common age limit in my experience and being 51 is totally frustrating from a FAB point of view. Probably reduces potential meets by at least 80%.

At 58 I'm finding even more difficult as 55 seems to be the maximum to all but a very few. There's plenty of life in this "old dog" , with age comes experience surely that has to count for something.

I've not found age to be a barrier, having set age criteria appropriately and realistically in my saved searches.

This is true; when I turned 46 my inbox became a very quiet, dusty, unused place. It was almost literally overnight, save for the people I was already speaking with before I got so old, as chats can continue on
