Yep this really happened

I went to my local dominos as I do every Sunday to get a pizza and as I'm thar I get offered a job by the manager.

Just finished the paperwork today and will probley start next week

No mor 0 hour contract

Well done.

Many years ago I was interested in working in a pub as a barmaid, I used to go in one regularly and was on the ladies darts team. The landlady asked me to do a shift and that was it. I worked there for a few years and did my management training with them as well. X

My last interview was very easy and I got the job. Ended up turning it down though as my current employer made a better offer

Congratulations though. Never been on a zero hour contract but imagine getting off one would be great especially for the added security. Top marks

Guess the one i landed myself next month

The manager asked members of staff if i w as alright and they all gave me a blinder of a report so he took me back.

I still had the interview but he told me at the end he would have hired me even without it, but because id not worked under his management before he wanted to get to know me

My easiest was getting bar work almost 20 years ago, I was looking to temporarily earn extra money on top of my full time job, my friend already worked in the pub and I was asked to do a trial shift and that was that. I loved it, it was such fun and I stayed there for 3 years.

similar thing happened to me years ago, mate of mine worked in a kitchen and mentioned one day that they needed a kp so i walked down with him before his shift started and had an apron on within about ten mins of being there, started there and then

Asked if there were any kitchen jobs going. Reply was yeah, come down 6pm on Saturday (almost week later) interview was pretty much a shift in the kitchen, then said your hired after the first couple of days.

Now doing different job (still at same site) boss asked in interview for the position, why do you want the job, my reply was more money. Guy just laughed n said try again. Made some cock n bull story up as to why i should have the job, n suffice to say, I'm still there now!

I went to a truck show with my mate so he could collect his new truck, they needed another new truck bringing back, so the owner said you can have a job and the truck if you take it back, so I did, was a good job.
