Long message/short message

I don't message everything that moves but I've sent a few on here. I was never the one sentence kind of guy, mailing his patience away.

If you do catch my eye I send out well thought out message, telling you why you caught my eye, relating back to what your profile stated you were looking for, and throwing in a joke about how you'll throw your back out bending over like that.

So my question is... Is there any point?

I don't want to give you my read:replied ratio but it's nothing to brag about.

What do you guys think, everyone one complains about SM not reading profiles. I think some of us on here are turned away by a wall of text. I mean this is a swinging site, I don't think everyone is looking for their soul mate.

Maybe it's my profile, I just thought I'd share my results and get the conversation started.

The right people will appreciate it and reply I must confess that I don't answer every message if I haven't been on here for awhile and there's loads unread from ages ago I don't bother

If it's been tailored to my profile and not a copy & paste then I do take more notice and will reply even if it's a no thank you. I try to put more info on my profile so people don't get their time wasted and know if I'm what they're looking for and vice versa. Don't be put off Op

Sorry I don't mean any offence lol but 2 weeks is nothing really I'm sure it is frustrating if you're not getting much response though

OP you have the right approach if, as you say, you are sending well though out messages and reading profiles.

I don't think there is anything to worry about with your profile either. The only thing i would change is have some more pics and maybe say what you find attractive in a potential meet.

Just keep doing what you are doing. Single men are very much the majority on here so you need to be patient.

Just because someone hasn't replied this time doesn't mean they won't a few months down the line. I am often chatting to several people at once and just can't cope with too many. Or i am not able to meet for a few weeks because life gets in the way. I get some really lovely messages and if i would want to chat at some point i put a private note on their profile and use my hotlist as a kind of bookmark so i can find them again when i am able to chat and meet.

No reply is seen on this site as no thanks. For me in some instances it's not right now.

That's quite encouraging! That last bit is spot on. I guess for that second message it's just the amount of time it takes to not be seen as pestering
