I read this when I was younger it was black and thick ( pardon the pun) it was filled with sex fantasies from the letters sent to the authour// There was a male and a female perspective so it came in two parts I think.

Anyone remember or know the name? I appreciate you in advance

Brighton - even Hove!

Was it 'men in love' and 'women in love' by Nancy Friday? I've got both copies.

"I was just going to say it sounds like a Nancy Friday book. "

You're thinking of Nancy Drew

Limbo

I was also going to suggest Nancy Friday ... sounds like we were all reading the same thing back in the day. 'My Secret Garden' by the same author is along similar lines too.

Sorry meant to say thanks, but no it wasn't that one. Very similar. The cover was dark from memory...

I remember reading my first adult book call 'wifey' (I think)

I was sure it was by Judy Blume, but I've never been able to track it down, so I must have been wrong but I'd love to read it again so see if it is still as sexually stimulating when I first read it

Judy Astley books are a source of very mild sex. Too vague for Fab members I'd imagine.

I'll look her up in case it was her as I am sure the first name was Judy

I've just noticed - next to the Nacy Fridays is 'sex and destiny' by germaine Greer. On the other side is 'Victorian Farm'. No dewey system in our house.

Judy Blume used to write for teenagers, so I thought it was a venture in adult writing, hence why I now think I was wrong, but I'm sure the name of the book was 'Wifey' and it was about a bored married women looking to experience exciting sex.....

I've read it. It's not very erotic, more a list of events, minimally described. There's a bit where a guy covered in sores goes to a prostitute who refuses to lick him all over and then she is whipped for refusing etc etc. Not my cup of tequila.
