Don't laugh (my mates were in hysterics when I revealed this), but as a kid I had the major hots for Yootha Joyce - from "George and Mildred" - yes I'm an old git too ha ha.

A "hot wife" if ever there was one!

I'm sure that it was her that first got me thinking about cuckoldry....

There and to the left a bit

First real one that I can remember was Joanna Lumley in her days as Purdey in The New Avengers...

...can remember visiting Pinewood Studios, where it was filmed, and dreading seeing her as I was visiting with an adult relative who'd not have hesitated to tell her of my crush!!

I have to admit, when the kids were young I used to watch Sesame Street, which I despised, though I grew to love the Count. However, there was a female presenter on there that I really couldn't take my eyes off (no, not Big Bird),which was Alison Bartlett-O'Reilly...

I was only about 5/6 but watched it, it I came home from school early. I was besotted by her beauty, like a princess, pretty makeup.

Remember mum use to watch 'take the high road' too, maybe after 'give us a clue' and that tune, 35 years later, is still playing in my head

"Who was your first celebrity crush?

I was often in Tizwas, dad's friend, lived by us worked for central TV in Birmingham so would take me and my brother there.

I was too young to go in the cage but allowed in the custard pie fight, at the start. (Had to take change of clothes).

We were told that only phantom flan flinger could use the buckets of gloop. We were only snowed to throw the pies (which were just foam). Great fun though.

Oh and Mr. Smelly really did stink, they let off eggy smelling gas, so the reaction was genuine :D

Good point, and you know what....

As I was a kid, I never gave it a thought, he was the phantom flan flinger! He was real and didn't need to question, he was anyone else.

Farther Christmas and the Tooth Fairy were real too

I have googled it now though.....

Plates of foam were on the menu when Tiswas stars gathered at a Birmingham pub for the unmasking of the legendary Phantom Flan Flinger. Throughout the Phantom's time on Tiswas, the character was mostly played, in secrecy, by Small Heath-born taxi driver Benjamin 'Benny' Mills.
