Amp amp amp stand for...

I've seen this a few times on profiles and I can't quite get my head round this short lingo.

Someone please put me out of my misery

It's this "&" for whatever reason it get's changed into "amp" sometimes. Issue with coding.

It's when they use an emoticon but it doesn't work (i think).

Or it's a new Black Lace song and nobody told me.

Sometimes the software Fab uses misinterperates the character '&' and spits out the html code for it which is '&amp'

"&" is an "ampersand" hence being abbreviated to "amp"
