My nephew saw a man with an LP record yesterday and asked his mum" What is that round black thing that man is holding?"

She told him it was an old-fashioned ipod!!!

15 years ago when I was a young 38-year-old I was out shopping and had a friend/neighbour with me, she was not yet 30-years-old.

We went into McDonalds for breakfast, however it was past breakfast serving time by a few minutes and the buggers refused to serve it. So I had a moan and we ordered something else and went and sat at a table.

Then I overheard a late teens girl tell a co-worker,

"They wanted breakfast passed time!"

"Who did?"

"That old couple over there"

WTF OLD COUPLE!!!!!

That sounds like something my daughter would say. We announced Siren's pregnancy on facebook to our wider families (so much easier doing it that way than phoning everyone lol) and some of my younger cousins have offered comments like, "congrats, hope ya didn't put ya back out!" or "congrats you two, who'd have thought it poss at your age!"

Cheeky feckers.

I recently cleared an office of IT equipment for disposal, and amongst the loot were two manual typewriters. The young lad with me had never even heard of such a thing, and sent a photo of them to his friends. Talk about feeling ancient!
