I have been working on breaking this habit. And I find that whenever I make progress, I find something else that seems interesting or useful but really just allows me procrastinate more. Any others like me, please share tips that have worked for you.

And be nice xx

ooh, on days i don't procrastinate (much) i do get stuck into what i am doing and forget about procrastinating. so if i hadn't come on fab already today i wouldn't be thinking about doing it now.

Procrastination can actually be useful. When I'm uncertain how to do something, while I put it of, my brain sorts through where I should start... long live procrastination!

visiting the beach

I need the advice, so am not able to give any either!

I went for a run, not got round to a shower yet. Let alone start work.

I rarely finish anything.

I'm a prolific procrastinator. But one technique that has worked for me is the Pomodoro Technique (look it up on wikipedia). In short it is breaking up into smaller periods of activity and concentrating on one thing at a time. Using a kitchen timer to try and keep focus.

Why put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after

Central

I regularly refocus on what my objectives are - and if what I'm doing is aligned with them or not. If what I'm doing isn't, then I stop it and get back on track.

I just keep it simple for me. Simple objectives and immediate action if I'm off course. If my objectives are wrong, then I'll change them - which may include the timeframe that I've set myself.
