really tender to the touch, even if i breathe in deeply.. ive 'googled' and been on the NHS website but it doesn't come up with anything.

Any ladies ever experience this?

Try looking up PMT. It's a common side-effect of pre-raising the red flag.

had it when i breathe deeply, pains in my chest, got it checked out and was told it was a chest infection! my moobs were fine tho, not sore or anythin.

pain when breathing would suggest some kind of chest infection or even pleurasy (sp??). i had a friend with that nce and he said it hurt to breate in

like many have said est way is to get to the docs

Thats what the dr said I had, couldnt think what it was callef tho!

I remain convinced PMT is to blame. I never suffered painful breasts due to PMT until 12 months after giving birth.

Periods were all over the place for 3 years after so I got PMT sometimes twice a month.

Sounds similar to a condition my daughter had a couple of months ago called costocondritis. It caused her pain when she breathed in and the whole area was tender (especially towards the centre of her chest).

It's an infection of the rib joints and intercostal muscles. It's painful but not serious ... wonder if it could be that? Only one way to find out really - go speak to your GP and get it diagnosed properly x

I often ask peoples advice on here AS WELL as going to the relevant professional bodies, I dont believe that anybody would go around acting on medical issues on the advice of comments on a forum thread!

As Wishy said on another thread (paraphrase'ish!) there are people on here from all walks of life, from all sectors of work and it is a pretty good place to ask advice!

As long as it's not a substitute for seeking help from the correct professional, where is the harm? Perhaps someone should post a list of what is and is not acceptable!

Sometimes its nice to ask for advice from people who have perhaps had similar experiences. I had some good feedback meaning it could be related to PMT.. and the only advice i did take which i would have done anyways was make a GP appointment for today.

Not a lot i could have done about it late last night sadly.

Having been on the NHS Direct website and having the option to call them, it's hardly the most sensible thing to do to ignore that option and come on here to ask the FHS Direct folk for their random guesswork.... if you really want advice that is.
