Take some Vitamin B Complex pills or eat Marmite or other yeast extract foods.

I used to get eaten alive too, every summer, but they hardly come near me now.

I take 2 Vitamin B Complex pills every day during the summer months, and as Mrs Secret has already said, take some antihistamins

Tea tree oil is a very good antiseptic, may also help to stop them biting you too if you put some on. xxx

Yes Jo, the important ingredient is the vitamin B. You can get it from yeast extract foods like Marmite, or from pills.

p.s. Jo you can also use the tea tree oil on your poor horse, it's one of the few essential oils that can be applied neat without having to put it into a carrier oil first. xxx
