I never read the book and came to this show cold.

I got a text from my ex half way through saying I should check it out, as it would be right up my street. Yes I know this might say more about me than I realise.

Anyway the thing is, I actually like this show quite a bit, the "worship me" scene did freak me out a little bit....I think it's one of those unspoken male nightmares lol.

Thoughts on the show? (Please no spoilers).

Having read the book a few years ago, I'm hoping the series is as good

Neil Gaiman is a great story teller

Neil Gaiman!

I actually am sort of enjoying it! I had my doubts about Shadow's casting but so far it's been a fantastic mythical and cultural homage to one of my favourite areas, the Midwest. There are a few issues like character development and it being a bit 'much' but meh!

The soundtrack has been so good as well. I'm looking forward to see the translation of a few things from the text to the screen.

Bilquis is perfect.

Steady as she goes lol. You can get it on Amazon prime. Each new episode is released on the Monday. There are other sites you can. Get it from, I'll on them to you if you want those.

Oh! It's on Amazon Prime (set up a trial account if necessary), they're only releasing one episode a week much to my dismay.

Bloody amazing book! It's a bit odd seeing Ian McShane as Mr Wednesday as he is totally unlike my imagined version, but I'm willing to be won over if he does a good job. I'm so happy it's in tv

I'm so conflicted about this show, because I love the book so much that I never wanted it to be adapted. Pretty much the same way I feel about most Neil Gaiman to be honest.

I loved the book and I've enjoyed the series. However it's been changed a little to much for my liking. Neil Gaiman doses say I'm the preface to his book that the book is the unadulterated version as the script writers wanted to change quite a lot. I think it's a shame they have changed so much though. Nancie doesn't seem to be in the series at all apart from a brief appearance..I could waffle on about it...

I love the leprechaun too...
