Im quite a shy and reserved person in real life. On here its obviously easier to let go a bit as there is a level of anonymity but how do you decide how much to reveal?

After the voice thread and eye one im feeling a bit exposed today at others have their faces on show 24/7.

Why do you reveal what you do (or don't)?

It's quite sad that the most endearing features of a woman is what I tend to hide myself.

A woman's eyes and her smile attract me. I then hear her voice and it can bring me to my knees. (Don't be rude)

But I hide both mine because I think I'm plain and have a horrible voice.

I show myself on my profile what I think women want to see.

I guess that's what fab lets you do. Show your best bits and portray yourself how you want to be seen.

I've had a face pic visible for a while now, I never used to but really, I don't see why not at the moment.

Being spotted in real life isn't an issue and anyone who knows me and sees it is also on here so not really in a position to comment lol

I won't show my face to everyone on here, you need to be pretty awesome to get into my circle of trust and if you fuck that up then you'll know about it.

I do not tell many people things about me, if I do then I really trust them.

There are many many things only a couple people know and it will stay that way.

My friends list can see my face, doesn't mean I trust them, I don't know them.

Completely agree with you, it was rather unnerving having even that little of my face on show. I think the bits of my body that I do show with good angles of the camera I can cope with.

In real life I'm as guarded and don't give away much. Few people get behind the walls to get to know the real me x

On here I hold a lot back. In my previous incarnation here I revealed a little too much via PM to someone who, perfectly innocently, then mentioned stuff in the forums that could identify me to anyone who knew me. Admin took it down after about 2 hours! But since then I've only revealed a little about me until I really know someone!

The 'voice' thread still has one or two people's personal details on their YouTube accounts - I tried to message one lady but I'm out of her age range! Go careful with your security people!

Mind you I have a spy drone ...

Without checking I can't remember if I have a face pic amongst my public pics or not at the moment ... but I certainly put them up periodically. I used to be paranoid about being recognised but it wouldn't affect my job and quite honestly in real life I'm pretty invisible, don't draw attention to myself and usually wear glasses anyway so I doubt anyone would make the connection.

I actually worry more about wearing some of my more distinctive jewellery in public

I'm trying to be as honest and open about myself as possible.

I'm not going to go shouting my name and personal details but I don't really care about anyone in my real life discovering me. I've got nothing to hide and nothing to be ashamed of.

Might be an age thing, but it's definitely because I'm happy with who I am and what I'm into.

As a single guy, I'm not too worried about stalkers or anything. I'd be much more cautious as a single lady and much more protective as part of a couple.

The eyes on show today have been so lovely so it's a shame they won't be staying.

I've got my own eyes on show as have previously seen others with that shot and thought they looked great - unfortunately mine aren't quite to their standard.

Won't put a face pic public though, and wondering whether I should reconsider eyes now

I've learned to hold things back a bit more. I've been too trusting in the past.

I have a rule. Once I wear something out in real life, all images of me wearing it on fab are deleted. And I will never be comfortable having pics of my face or tattoos on here.

I reveal a bit about myself, but never anything really important. Some people who I consider friends have more information than others, though. But they are trustworthy and haven't done anything with that information that's made me nervous.

To be honest, my nationality is a bit of a double-edged sword - it is the most identifying thing about me, but it also allows me to be relatively anonymous since everyone who would know me on a deeper level is in another country and everything I do here will almost certainly disappear when I go back home.

It depends on who I am talking to.

My privacy is important to me and I like others here would probably never put face pics on public view

....yeah I'm plug ugly... But as forum posts can be picked up elsewhere online then I have to feel a level of trust in others before even sending pics as a pm.

I clearly lack the balls of others but then maybe we should all use fab without feeling obligated to follow any one else's rules...

There are certain things I don't share on here. I'm sometimes surprised how much quite personal information people willingly share. Especially as you don't have to even be a fab member to read the forums.

People I've met know more because I've got to know them.

I think a lot of people my side of the channel got very nervous over the past few weeks after an amateur pornstar with a channel on a very well-known porn site started giving media interviews and naming this site as her main source for finding participants in her videos.

Was a lot of over-reaction from members in my opinion as I don't think the media are inclined to get excited about Mrs Average meeting Mr Ordinary Joe from the next town over for a coffee and a possible fumble... It's only very extreme behaviour that sells

Fab is always in the papers. It amazes me that they think a website on the internet is in some way 'private'.

I too consider myself quite shy and reserved. I accidentally uploaded a face pic as public a while ago and that really made my heart race

(however the messages I got because of that were lovely!).

I do partake in FPF and have my face in my friends pictures. The pictures I have on here are about as racy as they get. I don't do 'intimate' pictures. I don't cam or Skype, the medium simply makes me feel uncomfortable. I don't even facetime friends unless under extreme duress!

I was chatting with someone until recently and shared quite a lot on thoughts and feelings about life, the universe and everything (I think we both did) and to some degree it was pretty liberating, the anonymity was great for being able to talk without feeling judged. Would I do it again? I doubt it, I'm a naturally guarded person, so maybe it was just something I needed to get out of my system and they were a good listener.
