Why is it that people update their profiles, to say they are leaving and then don't?

Is this not a little bit like calling for an ambulance, before you pop the pills??

I just don't get that if you want to go, why you just don't go??

Any ideas?

Same as flouncing threads. If someone really wants to go then just go. I'm sure if they have some close friends they've met through here they'd have other ways of letting them know.

It's a bit like standing on a high bridge over a river and saying, "If someone doesn't stop me, I'm really gonna jump y'know!"

Right folks , after a short period of deliberation i have decided to leave the site ,,, will still be available for meets though

Ah well the main reason is attention seeking, and so that fellow (whisper it) Fab Forum Regular Clique members can write you a tribute thread wishing you bon voyage.

If you are really fortunate they then carry on an in-joke wondering when you're coming back, then the "did we get a sighting of (insert clique member name here)?".

Then you get the "clique member's back" from a suitably knowledgeable insider.

And the finale of course is said clique member comes back after all. Wunderbar!

Always think it would be better to hide profile, maybe delete all friends list, and then slip away quietly..... Then at least you can easily start back from where you left off if things changed

I must admit that I've always thought why not just hide the profile for a while, if after a year you realise you'll never swing again then delete it. I guess its up to folks individually though.

I'm going on holiday soon, you better notice I've gone !!!

Definitely attention seeking they think everyone is going to beg then to stay!!! Then surprisingly you notice there still here and looking at yr pics every few hours that's when i block them can't be arsed with it!!
