Go to a social and chat to as many people as possible, somebody will verify you. Don't be fooled into believing it is the holy grail and will lead to instant shags.

Fortunately there's another that will.

But am I correct in thinking that a meeting verification doesn't have to involve anything sexual? "If you meet me in a pub, I'll buy you a drink if you'll verify me" would be a valid approach?

Pretty much, although I wouldn't put it like that. I would be a bit miffed to find out the guy was only meeting me to get a green tick, and probably wouldn't verify him anyway.

Why not arrange a social as a prelude to having a good time?

some people get verified on webb cam only if that helps x

Sorry I didn't reply earlier (real life intervened), but that could solve the problem, thanks! Given my situation, I'm usually not free on evenings or weekends, but it would be good to know that I could go there if an opportunity arises!

As it happens, I have this Wednesday (10th) off work, and I'll be visiting Bristol. I have an afternoon commitment between 3pm and 4pm, and I'll have to leave by 6pm, but otherwise I could be around anytime from mid-morning onwards. Of course you'll probably be at work, I appreciate that.

I've removed my messaging restrictions (I'd forgotten I had those...), anyone can now message me.

Meeting office workers is so overrated anyway!

There are other clubs that don't require two verification's but I do like this rule and they have a very good reason for it.
