Must agree with the posse on this one, if you think, and only you will truly know, he's messing you around just dump him. On the other hand his excuses may be genuine, what does he do for a living that may cause him to have to go work at short notice or do extra hours?

Anyway, I'm sure you get many offers and can wade through them and find a bloke with more respect for you if indeed matey boy is a nobhead.

Well it doesn't get any better as you get older, and yes it pisses me off too, but I have a contingency plan - a couple of phone numbers for guys who are happy to 'step in' or I get myself to my club if it's a weekend
