Don't date the person who has to make it up to you. Date the person who never did it in the first place.

What are your thoughts on giving an unfaithful partner a second chance?

If I hadn't given my partner a second chance, we wouldn't have been together for 15 years now.

Not saying it works for everyone, but it's worked for us.

I forgave my ex husband the first time I knew about, big mistake he thought it gave him the green light to do what he liked. Wasted another 15 years on him. But I think for some it can work. X

I forgave my ex years after. For years I had zero confidence and completely shut down from finding another relationship. We got back together last July but now have since split for other reasons. If I hadn't of forgiven him I wouldn't of had the confidence to realise I deserve better.

Never forgive is my pov as just gives them free reign to just do it again and again expecting you to take back each time! Because after all, that is how they see it, if she is stupid enough after the first time, then she will do so again!

That was many moons ago when I was young and stupid, kicked him to touch though but it didn't help when his mother was being his alibi

sometimes it can be a chance to fix things that are wrong. something as extreme as going out and cheating can force their partner to realise something is wrong and that the person cheating has other options.

some people do enjoy being shady, selfish, and love cheating, they're unlikely to change.

cheating isn't black and white really. depends why they're doing it.

Depends on the reason for them being unfaithful.

For me there is NEVER a good reason to be 'unfaithful'....

Why should anyone make things up to you ?

If they did something you can't forgive then you don't take them back.

If they did something you can forgive then you should't have fallen out with them in the first place.

Sometimes people need to check themselves out and not blame the other person for being themselves - the person you want.

My thoughts are there are normally reasons why a person is unfaithful. For me it was a wake up call that something wasn't right. The relationship meant more to us than the discretion. Nothing to forgive but everything to fix. Still together 10 years on. Nothing is black and white.

I think it depends on the situation and the relationship.

A guy off here who flakes for meeting gets just that one chance.

Someone you've been with for years and you know each others ins and outs might deserve chances
