One for the lads but ladies feel free to join in!

Whats the best car you have owned or driven?

I'm currently sitting in a £90,000 jaguar xj getting a massage (thats right, seats have built in massagers!) and flicking through the tv channels to see whats on! How a car can cost more than a house I'll never know

(not my car btw, its a customers at work lol)

Driven loads of very expensive, owned none.

Had company cars for most of my career and lovely ones but wouldn't spend a shit load of money on my own.

His boytoy is his Mr2 but i refuse to go in it incase i get stuck lol

Same here, its obscene the amount people spend on their cars, seen customers pay the equivalent of 6 months wages on servicing and all the extra work that goes with it (clutches etc!)

best car by far that ive driven has to be a lambo murcilargo (think thats how you spell it!) not for comfort but for sheer power!

O o O oo

An Aston Martin DB9

The OH worked there a while back and certain people from the company could borrow one...he had to have a driving lesson with it on their track first before they would let it out though

Lovely car though.

Sat in a Ferrari F40 once. It was a former boss' car and he asked me if I'd like to drive it. I refused, stating that the first time I ever drive a Ferrari will be when I collect it from Maranello. Still haven't.

Surely it's not the occasional costs, like clutches and bulbs and tyres, that matters but the total cost of ownershipover the time you own the vehicle.

My car was expensive for me nearly 20 years ago and I've had a couple of resprays and re-upholsterings but I reckon it's still worked out cheaper overall than, say, a Cavalier or a Mondeo.

You would be suprised at the average service bill, most of the bigger cars go out with a set of tyres and brakes all around nearly every service, the clutch tends to wait till the warrenty has run out though! Serious madness the running costs of these cars, put 10 of our customers together and they could pull greece out of the shit if they left their cars off the road for a year!

Driven a huge amount of very nice cars.. including a bentley continental ( however you spell it)

I used to work for a prestige car company.. so Ferraris, lambos, astons ( when they werent in the garage )

but my personal best cars I have owned are these..

Alfa 156 v6.. why.. because it has a gorgeous v6, that looks and sounds divine.. and momo leather, had lovely curves and just despite its faults.. was beautiful car to drive

Next was my subaru v4 sti Type R ... it had the dccd which I drove with mostly the power to the rear.. it was just stupidly quick... and handled great.. and sounded so good.. 0-60 was 3.8 in that car.. and it was the only car I ever got a buzz in like I did the bikes..

I had a long term loan of a 355 f1 ferrari too.. which was awesome.. Took my kids to events in it.. I wanted to keep it but didnt have a garage so had to give it back after 3 months.. but loved it..

I have had about 93 cars in 10 years of driving so had plenty of choice and also driven some awesome cars that are borrowed..

Somebody we know on another (non swinging) website has a signature block that says something like "the number of toys a man gets before he dies shows what a great life he's had". We both think that's rather sad!

Still, the 'flash car' industry relies on some people blowing every penny they've got, or even worse, getting themselves deep into debt, in order to make themselves feel good. Compensation for having a tiny cock and not getting to use it very often, perhaps?

Oh I am boring about cars and bikes.. I must be the only woman that goes to a swing club and spends nearly an hour discussing cars with the lads waiting to play.. ( sat in stockings and a corset of course) but still lol

We were arguing which is better..

I always see the arguement btw that its just trying to compensate for something else as jealousy.. I am working my arse off at the moment to have another nice car.. Master has a nice car..and I want a track toy too.

I would think nothing of having something flash on the drive.. Is it showing off..?? Hell yeah.. but why not..

I had someone key my car once out of petty jealousy... they are lucky I never caught them to be fair.

My Mate has a spankingly lovely 911 turbo think its about a G reg.. ( maybe wrong) and ohhhh he says if he ever finds a woman that is as good at that car he will marry her..

Love my cars, bikes and hell yeah first thing I would buy if I won the lottery was a selection of fine cars.. Including a hell of a lot of Group b rally beasties..

I forgot one of the most awesome cars I got to drive.. was a full rally spec... 6r4... Yay...

lol actually when I used to do phone call service I had a guy that would frequently ring me and Liked me to talk about cars.. lol

I would have my own race track in my back garden if I won...I am actually suffering mild depression that I do not have a nice fun car to drive..and keep borrowing other peoples to get a fix. lol

Although we do have the Jag. but that is Masters car..

Oh and my love of petrolish things goes to having a nvq in mechanics too lol Although thats for motorbikes, but love to work on my own car too.

Couldnt agree with you more, if someone has the money they have the right do with it exactly how they please. To get deep in debt over any material thing in my opinion is totally wrong

I wasx lucky enough to work for both the royal families of Dubai and Bahrain in the 80's and 90's so got to drive lots of exotic cars including:

Ruf 911 yellowbird

Porsche 959

Porsche 911 King turbo Ltd Edition

Bugatti EB110

lamborghini diablo

Ferrari F40

Ferrari Testarossa (was my everyday car for 8 months)

Bentley Turbo R (I managed to flat spot 4 tyres in an emergency stop one night)

My all time favorite is/was the Lotus Carlton it cruised at 180mph with 4 doors a large boot and air con that worked. It was actually pretty spritly round Goodwood racing circuit after the very lucky Allan McNish showed me the right lines on a track day.

One disapointment was never being handed the keys to the McLaren F1.

Oh happy days.

Unusually we did the Sultans with just the rolling chassis and engine and shell..interesting to see the lead buckets in the raw...proper coachwork and craftsmanship...

But complete bastrds to do....most cars can be templated once..but not with the rollers....take one door and put it on another it`d be an inch out...the width of the car varies 2 inches..lots and lots of templates

But yeah...we were 5 mins from the M5 ...great fun, checking fer wind whistle tehe

Got a real feel eh ...all that weight but super quiet
