Rant: verifying someone new = fake!!!!

Absolutely fuming at two people on this site who have reported me for veryfing someone who is new!!!

Get a bloody grip you losers!!

He's my ex and has rejoined, how does that make him fake and me someone who ruins this site for everyone else

Ignore them, people come on and off the site all the time and ask for people who have met previously to reverify! Maybe just jealous they havent got any!

But I always think it looks suss when new people pop up and get verified straight away.....just the way it looks and no accusations cast.

My ex messaged a women who looked at me 3 times and then messaged him a load of abuse. I emailled her and said he is genuine he is my ex dated for 8 months just so you know. She hasn't read it but obviously told a friend of hers who messaged me to report me and told me how I ruin the site and also sent my ex a message too of abuse

It doesn't look suspect to everyone. I've joined a couple of times and been verified straight away by people who know me. You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to know people can rejoin,or join because a friend recommended it to them.

What I would say is there is never a excuse for abusive messages.

On the other hand you have not been a member for a long time yourself....so maybe you can understand how it may look to longstanding members. I personally would use a little more discretion before handing out varies.

But as I said this does not allow for a abusive messages and if the sender had any doubts it should have been a simple case of block and report their doubts

I've met lots of people at various events over the years, so I'm usually their go-to person to reverify when they rejoin or indeed give their first verification if I originally met them through another site/medium. I have to say I've never been reported for doing so though as my verifications always explain that my knowing them pre-exists their profile.

Yeah very petty but he's received 46 messages off men abusive as a result of her and so has now come off altogether

What you have got to understand is a lot of people wait a long time for their first verification.Then they value that green tick on a profile.....so when they see other people popping up and getting varies so quick!

I'm not saying that all like this will be fake.....but please take a step back and see how it can look

I thought the verification was to just show you had met the person and they are who they say they are.

The general problem with verifications is that it'soften viewed or seen as another badge for the collection. Polishing and increasingly shinier example appear to improve and better the collection.

Just ignore the haters. I have 4 but a lot more know I'm genuine. ..

I stated in a post that there is no excuse for abusive messages. And I think you should report them too.
