Leicester shopping centre

I've never been to Leicester and I'm planning to buy a suit for a wedding, I was told that Leicester has a big shopping centre, the other alternative being Milton Keynes.

If anyone has been to both, can you please help me solve the dilemma.

There and to the left a bit

Depends where you're located OP? Both have decent shopping areas, Milton Keynes is mostly indoors and has most shops. Leicester is more a "High Street" set up with a few indoor areas too, again most retailers are present.

I'd just go for whatever is closest to be honest - or even Birmingham which has just about every shop you could want in the Bullring.

Iceland, but Aldi is closer..

I dunno about a shopping centre,

It has a rather large lake used for scuba diving which has a very well equipped dive shop..

You should be able to get a good wet suit there..

Alternatively, look on line for Debenhams, moss bros and tm lewin, those places do decent suits and between them you can usually find one with a sale on at any time.

My experience of the outlet shopping centres is unless you want something in bright purple or extra extra lankey, there is never any decent mens clothing.

Good luck with your quest..

Birmingham is too expensive to travel to, £37 for a ticket while Leicester is only £16.

Milton Keynes on the other hand takes a long time on the bus but I know the shopping centre is huge, hence the question about Leicester one.

Nottingham

The shopping centre in Leicester is called highcross. I've not been but i understand it is huge. If you google it you will probably find a list of retailers un the centre. It's worth noting that club 29 is only a few minutes walk from the shopping centre too

Haven't been to either. Always get my suits from Slaters.

Its a good walk from the train station. But theres shops on the way down. But yes it is a good shopping centre. Also smaller shops. Ive never shopped for a mans suit but on the way down from the train station there is a couple of wedding shops. In fact one is almost opposite the train station as you come out.

Also marks and spencers and next

Also some nice places to eat if you get peckish at the back where john lewis is.

We tend to eat at O'Neils which is in The Lanes or the bar area in the cinema because the eating places around John Lewis are pricey and although g likes their food I'm not keen on them. Although if we are at Club 29 we have a cob there.
