speak properly or.????

Just read a profile that said at the end that you must be able to hold a conversation . Witch is all very well, but the whole profile was in text speak. Wtf if you want a bright meet don't write a profile like a 14 yr old. It doesn't take that much more frikken effort to put in an extra letter or two. Just boils my pies. And think pink Mmmm rant over. Does anyone else have a problem with this? Or is it just because I turn 40 in two days.

No, I feel exactly the same as you

But then, I've become a grumpy ol' git in my advancing years!

Text speak has become a lazy way of communication. I don't mind the odd word in this fashion, but when someone actually "peppers" a response, or even their initial Profile, to me, it's also a lack of respect!

Know what you mean about opposites, but the profile doesn't even make you want to try. Or am I being too narrow minded? Hate this getting older Shit, want to be 20 again.lol. still feel I am though.

Personally I hate it- especially when it used in a contrived manner to appear "cool"- or worse "kewl". OK I agree language must develop and move forward, but I guess I just don't like the manner in which it seems to be doing so.

It's easy to move onto a profile that does interest you more though!

i prefer to take the person for the person they are rather than how they write to be perfectly honest

If you want a bright meet, you should also learn how to spell. Next time, utilize the word "which" instead of "witch".
