do you actually put into finding meets ?

Did you just set up your profile post a few pics then sit back and wait for them to find/come to you ? Chat on the forums and try and get your personality across or do you put a bit more effort in and do the searching yourself ?

My vanilla/fab lifestyle is basically the same,

As I don't really make a good first visual impression I just leave it to,

I'm not being lazy and am not offended by what you say, I have been around for a few years now and just stick to chatting on the forums and the chat rooms, I don't send messsges out anymore, I know/talk to the type of Woman I would like to get to up close and personal with and if they like me that's even better, I've never been the type of person who try's his look with every nice looking woman he sets his on

When I am meeting, I make the effort to write a srcastic profile and if I like someone, I even go to the effort of sending them a mildly insulting one-liner.

We've got lazier, can be bothered with too much chat before arranging to meet, don't mind some chat once arranged though, we've put the effort in with the profile and pics so that helps, we do contact a few people but if it doesn't go anywhere quickly or they play games we give up, unlike when we were first here. X

My comment was specifically about the part of sitting back and waiting for people to contact you. I agree that Op's profile is indeed much more detailed than most people's.

We don't need to put any effort into finding a meet. We get lots of mail everyday from guys asking to meet us. Plus we have a group of various friends we meet occasionally.

The effort starts during the first exchanges of messeges but we are very specific in what we look for so that helps us.

I guess we all have our preferences. Personally I find sending messages works best for me.

I don't always have much time to use the forums (tonight is a rare exception for me), and I really don't like the chat rooms.

I think that's what i like about this site, they try to cater for everyone.

We don't particularly use Fab to meet people. Yet we've put a lot of effort into our profile.

And we still put that effort in, knowing our profile is likely to put most people off, yet hoping those it doesn't put off and actually read it, are likely to be the kind of people we'd like to meet.

If that makes any sense?

I wrote a mediocre profile and took some bland pics.

When I want to meet someone new I make myself searchable and open my filters.

Once the messages come flooding in I spend a lot of time reading and replying. It's quite tiring if I let my messages build up.

I put in a good amoynt of effort. I am pro-active, searching for potential meets, I am polite in my messaging and I review my profile fairly regularly (to make sure it is easy to read, not to long or too short and that it is informative without waffling on).

It can be quite dis-heartening when all this effort seems to go to waste, but I remain positive (never post a whingey 'feel sorry for me' status).

Always re-evaluating my approach

Personally I put 0 effort in.

It's a waste of time. Go to a club, mingle...easier more cost and time effective.

Use this for whatever banter occurs - it's ebbing to be fair.

If you treat this site your key to meets your gonna be disappointed chap.

Frankly I don't use this site for meets, I cannot get with a woman I cannot talk to physically cause I want to check if the woman is good enough for me. You should think like this , it will force you to improve on your social skills and how you conduct yourself around women and help you learn.

I use this site to chat with friends I have already met .
