B&w vs Colour

This is stimulated from a chat with a friend. I prefer b&w photos, to colour. Also I prefer taking them in b&w, as I think they offer more eroticisim to a scene

I also order taking photos in b&w in general.

I wonder what other people's thoughts are

Black and white shows more detail, I prefer them to colour but also depends on the image too.

Depends what kind of mood I'm in..

Some of the colour filters I use add something different, depending on the light etc, but generally I prefer B&W

B&W is such a simple photo filter to use to really class up a pic and make it look arty

I tend to use b&w when doing nightime shoots as they make the architecture I take pics of really pop and look way more atmospheric.

Im also a lovely of sepia but I will change the tone a bit rather than just the normal brownish tinge as this can get a bit too much.

Though if there is a gorgeous sunset or really popping colours I will take in standard mode and then i can play woth contrast and shadows.

I will only ever take the original image as it is as I hate using filters on software it never looks natural the only things I adjust are on my images are brightness, shadows, contrast etc.

Only time ive used editing software was for a few halloween pics!

Also im talking about proper images within my work not snapchat pics etc on phone.

I'm a fan of both but I prefer black and white. I think it's sexier and adds atmosphere. It depends on the subject of course.

I guess I just use what I feel will suit the picture better from an artistic eye.

But I guess I favour B&W pictures over coloured.

Just an air of mystery, class, sophistication of it...but that is just my opinion

For me it depends what setting their in..if there's a lot of detail in the background then colour but if it's mainly of the person then colour. I like to have a variety of them

I like both. I've got a couple of black and white ones on here but most of the time, can't be arsed with faffing around with them. So what you see on my pics is what you get. I appreciate others great pics though and have seen some amazing shots on here.

I like both. If I'm wearing something colourful then I may go for full colour or a colour splash. If I'm wearing black I'll often go for black and white; I'm so pale it's often hard to tell anyway.
