To assume is always a bad idea. But it becomes more difficult the longer I'm here. I'm not talking about stereo types,

My example comes from reading a few profiles this morning.

A Demanding profile with rules. I immediately assume they've no sense of humour.

But it's surprisingly not the case sometimes after you speak to them.

What do you guys find that you can sometimes get wrong by guessing.

I get enough of it right to not worry about what I'm getting wrong.

People's opinions of me, think that's down to how I see myself. X

Erm... I assume that if they flirt with most, their flirting is just standard conversation when it comes to me and not because they are interested in me. I've been wrong about that once so far though so it is an assumption I'll keep.

That what people say, is actually what they mean.

On fab I assume nothing is what it seems. I'm sometimes wrong but more frequently correct.

Gullible? Maybe, depending in what context you allow yourself to entrust. But isn't your question suggesting that we've made assumptions which we've found to be wrong?

People say mean things in the heat of the moment, which they don't firmly believe.

People get euphoric over new experiences and say it's all they want at that moment?

Don't judge people on what they say,but rather on their actions. Sure this site is full of insincere people, but it's also full of genuine folk? We generally spot the insincere rhetoric after a few exchanges.

That's not a bad thing is it? And do you find it's normally right more often than not?

No I prefer to see the good in people until Im proven wrong. I don't want to be a cynical person.

The world would be a utopia if we all lived that way.

Limbo

I assume if anyone shows an interest in me on here they're either just joking about, or bored at that particular moment in time. It takes quite a bit to convince me otherwise.

I do appreciate that potentially says more about me than them, and is a defensive trait ...
